Come visit the
showrooms of F. J. Carey, III specializing in antique American furniture of
the 18th and 19th centuries including Queen Anne, Chippendale, Hepplewhite
and Sheraton (Federal), and Classical or Empire pieces which are all housed at the house and barns at historic Dawesfield.
Dawesfield served as Washington's headquarters from October 20 thru November
2, 1777 and among other things was the sight of Anthony Wayne's court
marshal. The house and seven out buildings are on the National Register of
Historic Places. The stone barn now houses one of the largest inventories of
high quality American furniture and accessories in the country and every
piece is totally guaranteed.
